What is acupuncture?
Acupuncture is the oldest continuously practiced medical system in the world. It is used by one third of the world’s population as a primary health care system. More people have been treated by Chinese medicine throughout history than by any other formalized system of medicine. Ancient medicine with a modern 21st Century application, acupuncture has become a highly popular form of complementary health care in the United States.
Acupuncture is the use of thin, solid needles in specific points that have been proven to stimulate neuro-vascular pathways, hormone regulation, pain receptors, and cellular responses. Acupuncture can be used for pain, internal issues, neurologic conditions including stroke rehabilitation, eye health such as glaucoma, AMD and other conditions, stress, fertility and more.
