How Does Prolotherapy Work?
Prolotherapy involves injecting a small amount of a stimulating solution—usually a dextrose (sugar) solution—into the affected area. This gentle solution activates the body’s natural healing response by triggering controlled inflammation that helps:
-
Increase blood flow
-
Recruit healing cells to the area
-
Stimulate the growth of new collagen and connective tissue
As a result, the targeted tissues become stronger and more stable over time, helping to reduce pain and improve function.
