Welcome to Point Balance Acupuncture & Wellness
We are following all standard precaution guidlines in our clinic as recommended by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) in response to the COVID-19 virus.
Please call us if you have questions regarding appointments. We are seeing patients via Telemedicine. You can make a Telemedicine appointment on the Schedule page.
We will also be pre-screening for symptoms of COVID-19. We are doing our part to help our patients with their health conditions but also keeping our clinic safe and clean. Your health and the health of our staff are our priority at this time. These current restrictions are in place until April 26.
We ask that you be patient with the process. We value you.
Chinese Herbs and COVID-19
Our clinic is prepared with herbal formulas if you or someone you know becomes ill with symptoms of COVID, Flu or Colds. We have been in contact with some of the best Chinese Medicine doctors and practitioners who have been on the frontlines in China, the US and around the world who are fighting the Corona Virus. We have prepared treatment strategies for each stage of the illness. We also have preventative herbs and suppliments to strengthen your immune system.
If you need herbs or supplements, or would like an herbal consult if you become ill, there are several ways to communicate with us:
Text: (719) 357-9448
Call: (719) 357-9448
NOTE: Before we can prescribe an herbal formulary prescription, we must do a consult with you and make a proper diagnosis. We will not prescribe herbs without a consult. An herbal consulting fee of $45 will apply, as well as the price of the herbs and/or suppliments. We can deliver your herbs & supplements to your porch or you can pick up from a secure pick up area in our lobby.
Consults can be done in our office, via facetime or Zoom.

Why choose a licensed acupuncturist?
There are many types of practitioners who claim to know how to do acupuncture, but that is not the same as being a licensed acupuncturist. A licensed acupuncturist must have a Doctorate or a Master's degree in acupuncture and Chinese medicine, and has completed over 2,000 hours of formal education, and over 1,400 hours of clinical experience. All of this is required before they can take the multiple board exams offered by their state and the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) to become a licensed acupuncturist and a diplomat.
Licensed acupuncturists are the only ones who know everything there is to know about acupuncture theory, acupuncture physiology, acupuncture points, acupuncture practice and acupuncture medicine.
This far exceeds the 200-400 hours a physican or chiropractor needs to practice acupuncture or the 40-80 hours a physical therapist needs to practice functional dry needling.
Depending upon your needs we recommend that you choose the needle experts.
